Paper Piercing
Using a template, a piercing tool and piercing pad, you can create unique cards and scrapbook pages. After you have pierced your design, you get two images -- one that is flat and one that is raised. You decide which one you like the best. To get the flat design on your card, place the template on the front of the card. To get the raised design, place the template on the back of the card. You can also emboss around the edges of these templates to get a raised border. This should be done with the template on the front of the card. Placing the template on the back of the card and embossing around the edges gives you a different look. The choice is up to you.
