Terryfic
Times -- The Latest Buzz!
June - July Operating Hours
Terryfic
Times is normally open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and
from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Due
to after-school programs, appointments and vacations, we will have limited hours
a few days this month.
My
husband, Bob, is undergoing radiation treatments for tonsil cancer. He is
my top priority at this time. There may be days that I'll have to take him
to those treatments. If so, I'll be opening late that day.
There
will be limited hours of operation from Friday, June 26th, due to a doctor's
appointment. I have a summer camp program Thursday afternoon, July
2nd. I'll be open in the morning until lunch time. Sandy and I have an appointment in Charlotte on Tuesday, July
7th, and will be picking up our sister, Brenda, at the airport. The shop
will be closed that day. Fourth of July is a time to spend with family and
friends. That's where I'll be, so Terryfic Times will not open that
day. We'll have morning hours on Thursday, July 9th. The shop
will be closed from Friday, July 10th, through Saturday, July 18th. We
will have limited email access during that week.
I
have a summer camp program on Friday, July 24th and will be closed that afternoon.
There
are times that we have to run errands during the day.
It's best to call the shop at 704-895-BLUE (2583) to get the hours of
operation for that day. If you don't get us at the shop, call me on my
cell phone (704-995-4036) or Sandy on her
cell phone (704-763-0433).
Storewide Sale
The
storewide sale has been met with such great success that we've decided to keep
it going. Save 10% off everything in stock (unless there's a better
special, such as the Buy Two, Get One Free stamps from Inkadinkado). TLC's
(Terryfic Loyal Customers) normally get another 10% off the sale price. In
this case, it would be 19% off (10% plus 10% off the 90% sale price).
However, we're giving them an extra bonus and they can save 20% off their entire
purchase of in-stock merchandise.
Stamp Club Meeting
The
evening Stamp Club meeting will be on Monday, June 15th, at 6 p.m. Bring
six cards to swap and bring $5 for the
class project. If you don't want to participate in the swap, that's
okay. Come join us anyway! Please call to let me know you're coming.
The daytime Stamp Club will
have its monthly meeting in on Friday, June 19th, at 10:30 a.m.. We'll
be doing a special project ($5 per person). Bring eight cards to swap if you'd
like, but it's not required. We want you to come and participate.

We're
trying to organize another Stamp Club to meet the needs of those who can't come
to the two above. We'll consider a Saturday club meeting or another day or

Gypsies new Binderie Punch System ($40 retail) is here. This is a
battery operated system that you use to punch holes in book board,
leather, all kinds of things! It powers through multiple layers of
cardstock with a simple press of a finger. Marks on the front of the punch
indicate center positioning for easy line-up and accurate punching.
Extendable arm accommodates various sizes and features a pin for placement
of the first hole when punching a line of holes. A snap-off bottom tray
holds punch out pieces for easy disposal.

Wow!
Are cardmakers going to love these new dies from Sizzix. Designed to work
with your Big Shot/Big Kick, these XL dies will cut shapes as large as an A2
card. Their new Movers and Shapers dies have a space in which you can
place a magnetic die to cut out various window shapes. There are four
Movers and Shapers Kits as well as interchangeable magnetic dies.
In
addition, Sizzix/Ellison now has Bigz XL dies to create bags, boxes, banners,
cards and more.
Great
news -- new magnetic dies are now available. The newest dies and inserts
are listed below but no pictures were available.
There
is also the new Big Shot Express -- an electronic version of the Big Shot. This
retails for $170. If you're interested in more details, call or email
me. I'll be happy to special order this for you. This machine should
be shipping in the near future.
There
are now four Sizzix Embosslits Dies available and in stock. I used the
Merry Christmas one for some of my Christmas cards in 2008. You can cut
and deeply emboss with one pass through the machine. I can't wait until
Sizzix comes out with more of these. In the meantime, take a peek at
what's available at this time. The retail price is $20.

but the Reindeer and Merry Christmas pictures are not available. I have to
tell you that the reindeer done on Cherry Cordial Coredinations paper (brown
with a red core) and a little bling will wow you.
